The prophet Micah delivered God's message to both Israel and Judah during the 8th century BC. He boldly condemned social injustice, corrupt leaders, and false prophets who exploited the poor. Micah warned of coming judgment and exile for their sins. Yet his prophecy isn't all doom—he promises restoration and peace under a future ruler from Bethlehem (pointing to the Messiah). The book's heart is found in Micah 6:8: God requires us to "do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly." Micah shows that true worship involves both right relationship with God and compassionate treatment of others.
