Revelation 5 opens in heaven, where a scroll sealed seven times rests in God’s hand, and a mighty angel asks who is worthy to open it. No one steps forward, and John weeps until an elder says, "Do not weep." The Lion of Judah has conquered. John looks and sees a Lamb standing as though slain. The Lamb takes the scroll, and heaven responds with harps, bowls of incense, and a new song. Myriads of angels join, and all creation praises the Lamb who was slain and lives.
